ADAC Poster Contest 2015

Students submit artwork for 28th Annual ADAC Poster Contest

ADAC - Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Council (of Orange County)

May 8, 2015 - Students throughout Orange County presented their original artwork for consideration in the 28th annual ADAC Poster Contest.  Four Port Jervis students received Honorable Mention in this contest out of over 1000 submissions.  Those from Port Jervis to win such recognition were: 9th grader Kaylene Sauschuck, 10th grader Samantha DeVaux, 10th grader Rebecca Hulse, and senior Austin Wilson.  Overall, Port Jervis has 75 students participate in this contest.

Rebecca Hulse was also chosen to be co-emcee of the presentation.  She was selected after writing an essay on the theme of the Poster Contest.  That theme was "Life is an Adventure.  Explore it Drug and Alcohol Free!"

ADAC - Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Council of Orange County is dedicated to the public heath issues of alcoholism and other drug addictions.  Through Education, Advocating, and Prevention, ADAC seeks to prevent and treat issues related to drug and alcohol abuse.
