K-9 Visits Middle School

PJMS Welcomes New York State Trooper Hinz and Tomi the K-9

June 14, 2017, PJMS, Port Jervis, NY - New York State Trooper Hinz and his K-9 Tomi visited students from Mr. Avdoyan’s class at the middle school recently. Trooper Hinz spoke explained the many aspects of training that he and Tomi both had to go through. Trooper Hinz and Tomi spend six months training together. Trooper Hinz and Tomi demonstrated how to take down an individual and how Tomi identifies all different types of drugs.

All K-9 dogs are named in memorial of fallen troopers.  K-9 Tomi is named after Senior Investigator Thomas G. Moran Jr.
