Raiders Commit to College Sports

Port PrideMarch 20 2017 - Port Jervis, NY - Seven graduating seniors from Port Jervis High School have committed to playing sports next year in college.  They gathered together last Thursday for the 2nd Annual PJHS Senior Signing Day. 

Below are the 2017 Port Jervis High School Seniors who are taking their skills to the next level and participating in college athletics. 

Congratulations to all and remember, "Once a Raider, Always a Raider"!

Kaylah Butts-Quarshie - Track - SUNY ALBANY

 - Port Jervis High School Senior Kaylah Butts-Quarshie has committed to run Track for SUNY Albany, Albany, NY.

Kaylah is a 4 year Varsity Track star.  She's a 12 time Section IX place winner.  She is an Iron Raider, playing sports in all three seasons.  She ran Cross-Country in the fall, Indoor Track in the winter, and Outdoor Track in the spring

 

Scyler Phillips - Wrestling - Penn College

 - Port Jervis High School Senior Scyler Phillips has committed to wrestle at Penn College, Williamsport, PA.

Scyler was named an Iron Raider, a student athlete who plays sports in all three seasons.  Scyler played Football in the fall, was on the Wrestling Team in the winter, and ran Track in the spring.

 

Gillian Presto - Cheerleader - Davenport University

 - Port Jervis High School Senior Gillian Presto has committed to Cheerleading at Davenport University, Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

Gillian is a 3 time NCA All-American Cheerleader.  She cheered 1 year JV and 3 on Varsity for PJHS.  Gilliam is also a member of the Varsity Club. 

 

Lauryn Rodriguez - Softball - Lackawanna Junior College

 - Port Jervis High School Senior Lauryn Rodriguez has committed to playing softball at Lackawanna College, Scranton PA.

Lauryn has played soccer, basketball and softball during her years at Port Jervis High School.   

Noah Schoch - Football - Grove City College

 - Port Jervis High School Senior Noah Schoch has committed to playing football for Grove City College, Grove City, PA.

Noah played left tackle for the football team during the fall season and boys tennis in the spring.  He is a member of the National Honor Society, Class Officer, and a peer leader.

 

Amanda Sexton - Softball - SUNY Oneonta

 - Port Jervis High School Senior Amanda Sexton has committed to playing Softball at SUNY Oneonta.

Amanda played all  4 years on the Girls Softball and Volleyball teams.  She also was score keeper for the Boys Wrestling program.


Morgan Sicuro - Softball - University of Scranton

 - Port Jervis High School Senior Morgan Sicuro has committed to playing Softball at the University of Scranton, Scranton, PA. 

Morgan is a 4 year Soccer and Softball player from Port Jervis.  She is member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Club Vice-President, and is Senior Class President.  Morgan was the 2017 Theodore Kuykendall Award Winner for PJHS as well as OCIAA Scholar Athlete of the Year.
