Port XC keeps on running

September 24, 2016, Wappingers Falls, NY - The Port Jervis Cross Country Team was at it again this weekend in Wappingers Falls, NY, for the Bowdoin Park Classic.

Bowdoin Park has long been associated with notable cross-country races, including the Nike Northeast Regional and the Federation Championships.

The Raiders had their work cut out for them, facing powerful teams from Christian Brothers Academy (CBA), Cherokee, and Princeton. Each of these teams average less than 17:30 as their best times in this event.

The Raiders did well with seniors Kaylah Quarshie and Michael Herman both earning medals in their races. Quarshie ran a 19:58, placing fourth in her race. Herman ran 18:21, and finished seventh.
Port also had Christian Deal running 18:49, Raven Aumick running 19:48 and Dana Clarke running 23:11. The Raiders return home Tuesday for a match at the YMCA course, Huguenot, NY.
